A2Y DEI Series Event: Mental Health Awareness & Inclusion
"Inclusion Matters and has an Impact on our Mental Health and State of Well-Being"
May is Mental Health Awareness Month and we are pleased to bring together expert leaders from Trinity Health St Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor, Washtenaw County Community Mental Health Department, and Washtenaw County Division of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). We will talk about the inequities in health care, how and why access to care is different for certain demographic groups, and how to support and help those with mental illness. We will also talk about how, as an employer, to identify the signs when an employee may be experiencing or approaching a mental health crisis, and best practices you can adopt to foster a healthy and inclusive workplace culture that is responsive to an individual's mental health needs.
Please join us on May 4.
Whether you, or your organization, are just getting started on your DEI journey, or even if you have a good comprehension of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, this session is for you and anyone that wants to learn. We encourage you to ask questions and share your experiences at these open sessions.
