A2Y Chamber Event: Early Edition - The Loss of Local Media: How to Remain Informed and Engaged
Like many other communities, the Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti area has been impacted by the loss of local media. The lack of a daily newspaper with community-wide circulation has been the most recognizable example, but other outlets have also closed or reduced their operations. September’s Early Edition will take look at this issue and try and make better sense of how we got here, and what we can do going forward to ensure that we remain informed on the important issues facing our community, our region, and our country. Joining us will be an amazing panel featuring:
- Hon. Barbara McQuade Professor, Michigan Law, and former U.S attorney for the Eastern District of Michigan;
- Lynette Clemetson, Director of Wallace House, University of Michigan; and
- Molly Motherwell, General Manager, 89.1 WEMU
