Juneteenth Celebration Coordinator Trische’ Duckworth partnered with YDL Librarian Aaron Smith to bring Jazz bassist Marion Hayden to the YDL-Michigan Library Plaza as part of the city’s Juneteenth Celebration. Hayden will perform with her Legacy Ensemble, featuring pianist Ian Finkelstein and drummer Tariq Gardner, alongside Michigan Poet Laureate Melba Joyce Boyd for an afternoon of jazz and poetry on Friday, June 19. Ride FREE on Weekends This Summer Through August - Just Show Your Library Card!
ANN ARBOR, MI – The Ann Arbor Area Transportation Authority (TheRide), Ann Arbor District Library (AADL), and Ypsilanti District Library (YDL) are partnering again this summer to provide Free Ride Weekends. This is in coordination with the AADL Summer Game and the YDL Summer Challenge. Every Saturday and Sunday from June 13 to August 30, library cardholders can ride any of TheRide local fixed-route buses for free.
