YPSILANTI SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA PRESENTS FREE “POPS IN THEPARK!” CONCERT ON SATURDAY, MAY 24

YSO annual season finale outdoor concert includes patriotic and popular favorites for the whole family - at Riverside Park



Maestro Adam C. Riccinto and the Ypsilanti Symphony Orchestra (YSO) will celebrate the conclusion of their 26th season with their popular annual “Pops in the Park!” concert over Memorial Day weekend. The free concert will be held at Ypsilanti’s Riverside Park Pavilion at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 24, with a rain date of Sunday, May 25.

Music lovers of all ages are invited to bring a chair or blanket and kick off the summer by enjoying this family-friendly outdoor concert featuring patriotic and popular favorites. The orchestra will perform tributes to America in honor of the Memorial Day holiday, such as the beloved Stars and Stripes Forever march and other rousing patriotic tunes, as well as many familiar and entertaining pops favorites.

“The Ypsilanti Symphony Orchestra is excited to be back this Memorial Day weekend for our free annual outdoor concert at Riverside Park, as we top off a terrific year of engaging audiences with music based on the theme of “Up Close and Personal,” said Music Director Adam C. Riccinto. “We are proud to continue the wonderful tradition of offering our community this entertaining concert of familiar patriotic and popular tunes. All are welcome to help us celebrate the start of summer with some great music in the park!”

The YSO will perform “Pops in the Park!” on Saturday, May 24 at 2:00 p.m. at the Riverside Park Pavilion, 2 East Cross Street, Ypsilanti, MI, 48198. Rain date is Sunday, May 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Riverside Park. Tickets are free.
