• Comcast completed a broadband expansion project in Washtenaw County, Michigan, bringing Xfinity high-speed Internet to nearly 200 previously underserved homes.
• With the project now complete, Comcast’s full suite of residential Xfinity services is available in portions of Washtenaw County, including high-speed Internet, streaming, mobile, voice, and home security – delivering reliable, connected experiences for today’s consumers at home or on the go.  
• Residents can visit Xfinity.com to see if their address is eligible for service. 

Why does it matter?

• This latest broadband infrastructure project was made possible through a public–private partnership, funded by Washtenaw County and private investment by Comcast.  The expansion is part of the company’s latest investment in Washtenaw County, which also includes expansions in Ann Arbor Township, Lodi Township, and Scio Township.
• As part of Comcast’s continued effort to invest in local communities, this latest broadband expansion brings Xfinity services to additional underserved homes in select areas of the county.

 
How else is Comcast investing in Michigan?
Comcast’s commitment to Michigan communities extends beyond network infrastructure, with a focus on economic mobility, digital equity, and community partnerships. This includes:

• Prior to the completion of the Washtenaw County project, Comcast announced a $50,000 grant to Human-I-T in Detroit, a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting low-income individuals and families with devices, Internet access, digital skills training, and ongoing tech support.
• Continuing to advance digital equity through Internet Essentials, which has connected nearly 400,000 Michiganders in the last 10 years with low-cost, high-speed Internet service and affordable computer equipment.
• Comcast supports communities across Michigan through 32 Xfinity stores, where residents can connect with local teams and explore the latest Xfinity products and services.
