ANN ARBOR, Michigan (May 28, 2026) – The Washtenaw Economic Club will host a regional leadership panel discussion, “What’s Heating Up in Washtenaw County,” on Thursday, June 4, at Washtenaw Community College (WCC).
The event will bring together leaders from across education, government, economic development and tourism to discuss the region’s economic momentum, workforce initiatives and future opportunities.
The luncheon program will feature:

- Gregory Dill, Washtenaw County administrator
- Sarah Miller, president and CEO of Destination Ann Arbor
- Phil Santer, chief operating officer of Ann Arbor SPARK
The discussion will be moderated by Andy LaBarre of the A2Y Chamber of Commerce.
The event is designed to highlight how education, business, government and community organizations are working together to position Washtenaw County for long-term economic competitiveness.
“This conversation reflects the collaborative spirit that drives economic growth in Washtenaw County. By aligning education, workforce development, innovation and infrastructure, regional partners are helping create opportunities for businesses, workers and residents alike,” Bellanca said.
The event hosted in the Morris Lawrence Building on WCC’s campus, 4800 E. Huron River Drive, begins with networking and registration at 11:15 a.m., followed by the luncheon and panel discussion beginning at noon. The program will conclude at 1:30 p.m.
