Students invited to explore STEM at WCC during February break

ANN ARBOR, Michigan (November 18, 2025) – Local students are invited to spend their February mid-winter break on the Washtenaw Community College (WCC) campus immersed in STEM learning.
Four Mini Mid-Winter Camps taught by WCC instructors will be offered for students ages 7-17. One- and two-day camps will be February 13-14.
Families living in the 48197 and 48198 Ypsilanti zip codes are invited to apply for scholarships to attend camps.

MINI MID-WINTER CAMPS
- Cardboard Engineering Mini Camp (February 13, ages 10-13) – This workshop not only enhances your students’ problem- solving and critical-thinking skills but also inspires them to envision themselves as future innovators, equipped to tackle real-world challenges.
- Esports Mini Camp (February 13, ages 13-17) – Ignite your teen’s passion for competitive gaming, and turn it into a launching pad for real-world skills. Let your teen level up with friends, skills, confidence and endless possibilities. Ideal for gamers of all levels craving structure, camaraderie and real achievement.
- STEM & Craft Mini Camp (February 13, ages 7-10) – Looking for a way to fuel your child’s creativity while helping them build important skills? Our STEM Crafting Workshop for Kids offers a colorful, hands-on experience bursting with possibility. Let your child get messy, make something amazing, and grow in creativity, confidence and connection.
- 3D Printing Mini Camp (February 13-14, ages 12-17) – This two-day 3D Printing and Design Workshop for Teens aims to inspire creativity, introduce fundamental design skills and provide hands-on experience with printing techniques. By the end of the workshop, your teen will have gained practical skills in graphic design and an understanding of the printing process, empowering them to pursue further exploration in the exciting world of design.
WCC will also offer several Spring Mini Camps on April 3, as well as a robust lineup of its annual Summer Camps. Details will be announced soon.
