SBA Disaster Assistance Available for Michigan Businesses and Nonprofits

Businesses, nonprofits, and certain agricultural cooperatives affected by the April 10–21, 2026 severe storms, tornadoes, and flooding may be eligible for low-interest disaster loans through the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Assistance is available to help repair or replace damaged property, cover working capital needs, and support recovery. Applicants should have their business information, recent federal tax return, financial and insurance information ready when applying. The SBA has also opened several Business Recovery Centers across impacted counties to provide in-person assistance. The deadline to apply for physical damage loans is August 31, 2026, and the deadline for economic injury loans is March 30, 2027.
