Washtenaw County, Mich., December 4, 2024 — Northstar Bank is pleased to announce the promotion of Tonya Gietzen to Executive Vice President, Chief Lending Officer.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the banking industry, Gietzen began her career at Northstar Bank as Senior Vice President, Team Leader in September 2015. As Executive Vice President, Chief Lending Officer, she carries the primary responsibility of overseeing and leading all assets of Northstar Bank’s lending activities including developing and implementing strategic initiatives, supervising and leading the lending staff, and ensuring lending underwriting and administration practices are compliant with banking laws and regulations.

Gietzen is an active member of her community and is a founding member and current Steering Committee member for 100 Women Who Care – Chelsea Area.  Past community involvement includes: President and Treasurer/Board Member of Chelsea Education Foundation, Treasurer/Board Member of Washtenaw Literacy, Involvement in Reach Out and Read, Boys and Girls Club, Junior Achievement, and Habitat for Humanity. She resides in Chelsea with her family.
