Michigan Small Business Development Center Announces Fall Line-up of No-Cost Small Business Events

Ann Arbor, Mich. – Entrepreneurs with businesses at every stage are invited to attend no-cost fall educational events hosted by the Michigan Small Business Development Center (Michigan SBDC) at Washtenaw Community College. Packed with expert advice, the events are totally free, but registration is required.

Are you ready to launch your business as a sole proprietor or LLC? Have you been putting off the paperwork? Then you need this hands-on walk through. Michigan SBDC consultants will discuss business entities and explain the documents needed to form and register a business, including Articles of Incorporation and Employed Identification Number (EIN). They will also cover basic bookkeeping procedures and the tax implications of your new business, plus best business practices.

If you seek financing for your business, have good credit, a solid business idea and some money to invest in your business, this roundtable is for you. It will provide insight into the SBA Guaranty Loan Program and the criteria used by loan officers to evaluate a loan request. A team of experts will demystify the lending process, debunk the myths about SBA programs, and share real-life examples of successful loan applicants.
