Michigan Public’s Vince Duffy Receives Bob Priddy Award from the RTDNA

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — Michigan Public News Director Vince Duffy has been recognized with the Bob 
Priddy Award from the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA).
Bob Priddy is one of RTDNA's most distinguished former board members, having served for 27 years 
before stepping down in 2010. This award, created in his honor, recognizes a board member who 
reflects his same standard of steady, thoughtful service and a deep commitment to the long-term 
health of RTDNA.
Duffy was recognized for his deep institutional knowledge and his willingness to grow RTDNA without 
losing sight of what makes it worth serving. His careful stewardship has defined the best of RTDNA.

Vince Duffy has been the news director at Michigan Public since May 2007, and he currently serves 
as Treasurer of the RTDNA. Duffy served two terms as chair of the RTDNA, holding the position in 
2012 and 2016. He and Bob Priddy are the only people to serve as chair twice.

Prior to his time at Michigan Public, Duffy worked as a reporter, Morning Edition host, and 
eventually News Director at WILL at the University of Illinois. He also spent time as the news 
director of WKSU. Throughout his career, Duffy has been awarded several national Edward R. Murrow 
awards, a Peabody Award, a Sigma Delta Chi award, a National Headliner award, a national Unity 
award, and many others.

One of RTDNA's core pillars is recognizing excellence in journalism. Each year, the Board of
