DTE Energy and Washtenaw Community College Invite Community to Experience the Future of Driving at Free EV Ride & Drive Event

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — June 2026 — DTE Energy is partnering with Washtenaw Community College to host a free Electric Vehicle (EV) Ride & Drive event on Saturday, June 27, and Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Washtenaw Community College's Lot 7, located at 4800 W. Clark Road in Ann Arbor.

The event offers community members the opportunity to get behind the wheel of some of the newest electric vehicles on the market and experience firsthand the performance, technology, and innovation that make EVs unique. Participants will have the chance to test drive a variety of electric vehicle models and learn more about EV ownership from knowledgeable DTE EV Product Experts.

Each test-drive experience will last approximately 15 minutes and take place on local streets surrounding the campus. Drivers will be accompanied by a DTE EV Product Expert who can answer questions about vehicle features, charging options, and the benefits of electric transportation.

Guests are encouraged to reserve a timeslot in advance. Participants may bring up to two guests to ride along during their test drive. Guests must be at least 16 years old, and car seats will not be permitted.

We are excited to give community members the opportunity to experience electric vehicles firsthand, Whether you're curious about EV technology, considering purchasing an electric vehicle, or simply want to learn more, this event provides a fun and informative way to explore the future of transportation.

Attendees should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled test-drive time. Event signage will direct visitors to parking and registration areas. The event will take place rain or shine. In the event of severe weather or schedule changes, registered participants will be notified via email.
