Ann Arbor, MI, May 6, 2026– The Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library is pleased to announce a special panel discussion featuring the creators of the upcoming temporary Museum exhibition, Waltzing with the Queen: President Ford and the Anglo-American Special Relationship. The event will offer an exclusive, behind-the-scenes look at the process of adapting a comprehensive historical book into an immersive and original Museum experience on May 20 at 6:30 p.m. at the Library, 1000 Beal Ave., Ann Arbor, MI.

Authors and exhibit creators Dr. Tia Culley, Dr. Robert M. Hendershot, and Dr. Steve Marsh will join moderator Joel Westphal for a discussion about turning their book, The Ford Administration and Anglo-American Relations: Re-valuing an Interim Presidency into an upcoming Museum exhibit in Grand Rapids. Attendees will learn about the creative journey, from initial collaboration and research for the book, to the partnership with the museum, as well as what did not make the final cut.
“These panelists spent a great deal of time researching the Ford Library records to write their upcoming book." said Brooke Clement, Director of the Gerald R. Ford Presidential Library and Museum. “Having them also involved in developing the Museum's latest exhibit, Waltzing with the Queen, was such a coup! This discussion is sure to be fun and informative.”
