DTE’s 2026 Energize Your Block Mini Grants Now Open

We are pleased to share that applications are now being accepted for DTE Energy’s 2026 Energize Your Block Program. This initiative provides funding of up to $1,000 for neighborhood organizations in Washtenaw County that are committed to building healthy, safe, and connected communities.



Who May Apply:

  • Block clubs
  • Homeowners associations (HOAs)
  • Condominium associations
  • Neighborhood organizations located within Washtenaw County
 
Organizations should be able to demonstrate community involvement through activities such as neighborhood meetings, social events, beautification projects, volunteer efforts, or similar initiatives.
 
Eligible Projects:
  • Community resource fairs
  • Landscaping or decorative improvements
  • Neighborhood cleanup events
  • Holiday or seasonal activities
  • Other projects that bring neighbors together and enhance the community
 
Funding Guidelines:
  • Awards of up to $1,000 per organization
  • Funds must support projects that engage residents and address a local need
  • Grant funds may not be used for salaries, reimbursements, capital campaigns, endowments, or lobbying activities
 
How to Apply:
In 100 words or fewer, please:
  • Describe your proposed project
  • List the items and quantities to be purchased
  • Provide an estimated budget
  • Email your application to: DTEOutreach@dteenergy.com
