Destination Ann Arbor Announces Countywide Office Model with Locations in Ann Arbor, Chelsea & Ypsi

ANN ARBOR, Mich., April 6, 2026 - Destination Ann Arbor today announced a transition to a countywide office model with locations in Ann Arbor, Chelsea, and Ypsilanti, a strategic shift designed to strengthen collaboration, enhance engagement with partners, and enhance how the organization supports communities throughout Washtenaw County.

The new model brings the organization’s team together in a collaborative workspace while maintaining flexible locations that support work throughout the county. Destination Ann Arbor has maintained a presence in both Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti for many years, and this transition builds on that history while strengthening how the organization connects with partners and communities across the region.

As part of this transition, Destination Ann Arbor will operate from three locations:
    • Ann Arbor: 330 East Liberty Street (Ann Arbor SPARK building)
    • Chelsea: 310 North Main Street (Clockworx at the Clocktower)
    • Ypsilanti: 300 West Michigan Avenue (MI-HQ building)
Team members will primarily work from the Ypsilanti location, with additional workspace available in Ann Arbor and Chelsea to support work across Washtenaw County.

“Destination marketing continues to evolve, with greater emphasis on meeting visitors and partners where they are,” said Sarah Miller, President and CEO of Destination Ann Arbor. “By bringing our team together in a collaborative environment while maintaining a presence across the county, we are strengthening how we engage with partners and support the visitor economy throughout Washtenaw County.”

The countywide office model supports Destination Ann Arbor’s approach to working directly within communities across the region. Team members regularly meet with partners, attend events and festivals, host meetings and workshops, and capture marketing content throughout Washtenaw County.

The announcement builds on more than four decades of partnership between Destination Ann Arbor and Washtenaw County focused on strengthening the regional visitor economy.

“Destination Ann Arbor plays an important role in advancing the visitor economy across Washtenaw County,” said Katie Scott, Chair of the Washtenaw County Board of Commissioners. “This approach reflects the collaboration needed to support residents, businesses, and communities throughout the region. We value our continued partnership and look forward to the organization’s ongoing investment in Washtenaw County.” Additional details regarding the transition and timing will be shared as they become available.
