Ann Arbor Sports Commission Unveils New Logo and Brand Identity  

Rebrand Highlights Growth, Vision, and Commitment to Hosting Elite Sporting Events 

ANN ARBOR, MI – [December 4, 2024] – The Ann Arbor Sports Commission is proud to announce the launch of its new logo and brand identity, reflecting its mission to be a driving force in creating and hosting world-class sporting events that enrich the local community. This rebrand, rooted in the Commission’s recent strategic review and restructuring, includes a fresh visual identity that highlights its commitment to being a collaborative partner for sports organizations, event organizers, and the greater Ann Arbor community.  

The new brand emphasizes the Sports Commission’s mission “to serve as a force for creating and hosting world-class sporting events that provide opportunities for athletes and make a positive impact in the community.” The brand essence, “We play as a team,” highlights its collaborative spirit, emphasizing teamwork and community engagement as foundational elements of its mission. This new identity is designed to enhance partnerships, attract high-caliber events, and foster positive economic and social impact across the region.  

“We’re excited to share our new logo and brand that showcases our commitment to elevating sports tourism and engaging with partners to deliver exceptional experiences,” said Meaghan Hughes, Director of the Ann Arbor Sports Commission.  

As part of its ongoing mission, the Ann Arbor Sports Commission is excited to host the second annual Washtenaw County Celebration of Girls and Women in Sports conference in February 2025. Also, the Commission will serve as the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) for marquee events such as the 2025 USRowing RowFest National Championships and the NAIA Cheer, Dance, and Golf Championships in partnership with Concordia University, furthering its role in bringing athletes, spectators, and economic opportunities to Washtenaw County.
