ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Aug. 20, 2026 - PRLog -- The Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation (AAACF) will host its 2026 Annual Community Meeting (ACM) on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, from 4:00–6:00 PM at the Morris J. Lawrence Building at Washtenaw Community College.
The annual gathering brings together residents, donors, nonprofit and civic leaders, and community partners to connect, see philanthropy in action, and explore how collective efforts are helping strengthen communities throughout Washtenaw County.
This year's Annual Community Meeting will offer opportunities to:
Connect Across Community - Build relationships and exchange ideas with residents, donors, nonprofit leaders, civic partners, and others invested in Washtenaw County.
Explore Impact in Action - Learn how AAACF's grantmaking, scholarships, partnerships, and impact investing are putting community resources to work and advancing the priorities reflected in its S.E.E.D.S. framework.
Hear Community Perspectives - Connect with AAACF leadership and staff through an interactive Q&A and hear directly from donors about their experiences, motivations, and impact in the community.
Look Toward What's Next - Explore how community voices, collaboration, and philanthropy can continue building a stronger, more equitable and resilient Washtenaw County.
Since 1963, AAACF has connected resources with community needs to strengthen the quality of life throughout Washtenaw County. Its work is rooted in a simple but powerful promise: For Good. For Ever. For All.
Today, that commitment continues through S.E.E.D.S., AAACF's framework for philanthropy, partnership, and long-term community investment. Like planting a garden, meaningful change requires intention, care, and time. S.E.E.D.S. focuses on strengthening community voices, advancing equity, expanding rural reach, developing the next generation, and securing the future through impact investing.
Small Seeds, Mighty Roots reflects that philosophy and the spirit of this year's Annual Community Meeting: recognizing the ideas, relationships, and investments planted across Washtenaw County today and the lasting impact they can grow for generations to come.
