About Us

Christian Montessori School of Ann Arbor (CMSAA) is a nonprofit, independent school serving children from infancy through 3rd grade. We combine the time-tested Montessori philosophy with a Christ-centered environment to nurture each child’s curiosity, independence, and sense of purpose. Our mission is to help children grow into confident, capable individuals who love learning and understand their unique role in the world.

At CMSAA, every classroom is intentionally prepared to meet children where they are developmentally. Students move at their own pace, explore hands-on materials, and build mastery through meaningful work. Our teachers serve as guides, encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and a deep respect for self, others, and the environment.

We are a small, close-knit community where families, students, and staff form strong, lasting relationships. Parent partnership is one of our core values, and we work alongside families to create a supportive and joyful school experience. Beyond the classroom, we offer community events, after-school activities, and opportunities for families to connect throughout the year.

Located on the west side of Ann Arbor, CMSAA provides a peaceful and welcoming environment where children can thrive academically, socially, and spiritually. Whether a family is seeking a nurturing beginning for their infant or an engaging, personalized learning experience for their elementary child, we are committed to helping every learner flourish.
