Water Street Millage Debate
On Tuesday, August 8th, City of Ypsilanti voters will weigh in on the Water Street Debt Millage Proposal. This proposal asks for 2.3 mills to repay debt related to Water Street Redevelopment Project. Passage or failure of this millage will have major outcomes for the City of Ypsilanti, its residents, and businesses.
Building on last year’s successful event, the Ann Arbor League of Women Voters and the A2Y Chamber are pleased once again to partner and put on a special Oxford style debate on the Water Street Millage Proposal. Through the sponsorship of AT&T and the generosity of Eastern Michigan University, you can join us as students from Washtenaw Technical Middle College’s debate team debate the pros and cons of this ballot proposal.
