Explore the science of locomotion with UM Robotics and Motion Laboratory researchers. Put yourself in animals’ shoes and see how body structure affects movement. Investigate the difference between walking and running, collect data on how you move, and build your very own passive dynamic walker to take home. For students in grades 2-6. Parents are strongly encouraged to stay with their child and participate in the workshop. Participants under the age of 12 must have an adult remain in the building for the duration of the workshop. Cost is $5 for members and $10 for non-members, pre-registration is required.
