The Business of Being an Artist Speaker Series: Start Selling on Etsy!

Are you a creative and ready to share your products with the world? This workshop explores the basics of starting and running an online Etsy shop, including pricing, basic accounting, product photography, marketing, and best practices. The workshop is open to anyone, yet best serves those that are new to eCommerce and the Etsy marketplace. Learn from an expert how to use Etsy’s online platform to sell your creative work.
Yolanda, a Detroit native and mom of two, is the owner of The D. The Jewelry, with dual degrees in Industrial and Jewelry Design, and has been selling her jewelry on Etsy since 2009. She has been creating jewelry for over 18 years, and in the last 10 years, her designs have been Detroit-centric, in celebration. Yolanda is a Build Institute graduate, and facilitates business plan courses as well as Etsy Entrepreneurship at Build, and is passionate about youth entrepreneurship. She also sits on the board at the James and Grace Lee Boggs School.
