Early Edition - The Opioid Crisis

The A2Y Chamber Early Edition breakfast's interactive format brings the business and community leaders together to learn about industry leaders and issues facing the Ann Arbor & Ypsilanti community. Early Edition will be held the 3rd Wednesday of each of month at Weber's Boutique Hotel & Resturant. The breakfast is a great opportunity to network and learn about recent events in the Ann Arbor / Ypsilanti business community.

This month's breakfast is sponsored by Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan will focus on the impact of the opioid crisis in our community and what's being done to address it. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention estimates that the total "economic burden" of prescription opioid misuse alone in the United States is $78.5 billion a year, including the costs of healthcare, lost productivity, addiction treatment, and criminal justice involvement.
