Community Stories, Speaker Panel & Networking Event - "When You Thought You Were Right, But Were Oh, So Wrong"
“We don’t see things as they are, we see things as we are” — Anais Nin
Join us for the American Cancer Society's fourth "speaker panel series" co-hosted by the Ann Arbor / Ypsilanti Regional Chamber and Back Office Studio on Thursday, June 27 from 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM.
In the current climate of politics and the world, our opinions seem more and more divisive and many of us are less likely to budge when we feel strongly about a topic or issue. What shapes our belief systems? How and when do we actually change an opinion? How do we truly keep an open mind and how does an open mind change us for the better? Join us as members of the community share their stories about when they thought they were right, but they learned they were wrong, and how that mind-shift had an impact on their belief system.
Panelists will answer a series of questions about their experiences and then we will open up to questions from the audience and networking with all attendees. Light refreshments will be provided.
