A2Y Chamber Event: Supplier Diversity - Why Is It Important
REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT 9:00AM, MONDAY, DECEMBER 20 - THANK YOU!
Please join the A2Y Chamber, Association of Businesses of Color and UTEC for this educational event.COVID-19 created global supply challenges from microchips to toilet paper, causing companies to seek new suppliers, in different locations, locally and around the world. The days of having one vendor are diminishing and are creating opportunities for the underserved and minority owned businesses to have a piece of the pie.
Supplier Diversity plays a huge role in supporting small and minority owned businesses and the communities they serve. Independent research has shown that companies who focus heavily on supplier diversity generates 133% greater return on procurement investments than their counterparts. By supporting minority businesses, we help the whole community, and everyone succeeds, making a positive impact on the economy.
If you are looking to understand what Supplier Diversity is about, meet or work with a Minority Business Enterprise, or are a MBE interested in new business opportunities and contracts, this webinar is for you!
Our featured speaker, John Walker, is the Owner & Chairman of Perfect Output, LLC, a minority and veteran owned business. John will share with us Why Supplier Diversity is Important and If It Is Important to You, How You Do It. He has over 35 yeas of leadership experience in the healthcare, technology, and distribution industries. John truly has an entrepreneurial mind and is deeply committed to helping people grow, and receives tremendous satisfaction in mentoring others.
We will also hear brief remarks from Jaspreet Singh, Vice President of Corporate Services for DTE Energy.
