"UM Vision 2034 Initiative"
Christopher Culley, Associate Vice President for Planning and Strategic Initiatives
Office of the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer
University of Michigan
"The collective visioning process for Vision 2034 will occur throughout 2023 alongside other important U-M efforts, including Campus Planning ? which will explore how the physical campus must evolve to support the future of U-M. It will build upon the insights and lessons learned from other ongoing university engagement efforts including Bold Challenges, Bold Ideas, Culture Journey, as well as Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Vision 2034 will define what the university wants to accomplish and how it will evolve over the next 10 years. Strategic visioning will also inform campus planning in its exploration of how the campus?s physical spaces and places should be designed to support the university?s mission and vision".
Sue Gott, Associate Director for Planning and Communication
Sue Gott is working closely with our planning consultant, Sasaki Associates, internationally recognized for deep expertise in planning and urban design. Sasaki has been engaged to bring a multidisciplinary approach and a variety of industry leaders to collaborate with university stakeholders during the planning process. The Plan will include 5- and 10-year development planning horizons and a long-term, 25-year plan that will serve as a catalyst to advance ongoing initiatives and establish clear priorities for capital investments.
