A2Y Chamber Event: Early Edition - May 2023
A Celebration of Teachers and the Teaching Profession in Washtenaw County
"Great Teachers Evoke Change"

Ché Carter, Principal, Ann Arbor Huron High School an International Baccalaureate World School in the Ann Arbor Public Schools
Ché Carter is a passionate results-driven leader, educator and entrepreneur who can seamlessly shift gears and walk into any space to enhance productivity, build community, raise student achievement, and direct cross-disciplinary strategic initiatives leading to a positive change.
Ché believes that education institutions must be receptive environments for collaboration where leaders serve as facilitators in orchestrating effective environments that are fluid in practice and philosophy to better serve students, staff, families and the community at large.
A2Y Chamber presents the 2023 LaFontaine Teacher of the Year

The Teacher of the Year Program recognizes the great contribution teachers make in Washtenaw County and to the learning community. This award recognizes and honors teacher excellence. It does not attempt to select the "best" teacher; rather, to identify, from among many outstanding teachers, one teacher to serve as a visible and vocal representative of what is best in the profession.
The LaFontaine Family wishes to honor the amazing teachers within Washtenaw County and recognize them for their hard work and efforts they put in every single school year.
