Please join us as we celebrate the 1 year Anniversary of Busted Bra Shop's opening in the Ann Arbor/Ypsilanti area.  They opened last year but due to the pandemic was not able to celebrate as they would have liked.  They have recently moved to their new location at 899 West Eisenhower Parkway and will have a ribbon cutting at 10am.

Busted Bra Shop is a lingerie and swimwear retailer with five locations in metro Detroit and Chicago.  Named the 2021 winner of Intima Magazine’s “Best Store in America,” Busted is now in the Colonnade Shopping Plaza with 1,500 square feet of space. 

Launched in Detroit in 2013, Busted is a custom-fit bra boutique featuring thousands of bras, panties and lingerie at all size and price points.  The store also has locations in Detroit’s Jefferson-Chalmers neighborhood and Cadillac Place in New Center, and Chicago’s Hyde Park. 

“We are so excited to open a bigger boutique here in Ann Arbor,” said Lee Padgett, Busted Bra Shop’s owner.   “Our customers in Washtenaw County will love the expanded store offerings and the increase in fitting room space.”  The company previously had a smaller second-floor retail space on Washtenaw Avenue.

Busted is one of the few places that offer bra fittings and dozens of brands in a variety of colors and sizes.  Busted is the only bra store in Michigan to carry luxury French brand Empreinte and other brands from around the world including the Ukraine, Poland, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Canada, the Netherlands, and Japan.  The store is also highlighting Dita Von Teese Lingerie, created by Dita Von Teese, a Rochester Hills native and burlesque performer.

“It’s really important to get fitted for the perfect size bra,” said Padgett.  “Bodies change and women shouldn’t assume the bra that fit last year fits today.  The right undergarments make all the difference in your look.  All of our custom fitters go through extensive training to make sure they get our customers the right product at the right size.”

Opened in 2013 when Owner Lee Padgett learned that Detroit had no bra stores in the city limits, Busted now has five locations:  Detroit’s Cadillac Place and Jefferson-Chalmers, Ann Arbor, Rochester Hills and Chicago’s Hyde Park.  In addition to professional bra fittings, the stores offer bras in band sizes 28-56 and cups A-O and lingerie sizes XS-4X, panties size XS-10X, shapewear sizes S-6X, hosiery and (some) swimwear.  They also carry men’s underwear from Wood Underwear and SAXX Underwear.  The store is proud to be LGBTQ+-friendly.
