SUMMARY:No Perfect Balance: Thriving at Work and in Caregiving
DESCRIPTION:This interactive session is designed for professional women who find themselves juggling demanding careers and caregiving responsibilities whether for aging parents\, children\, or others.\n\nDrawing from the book Caregiving Reimagined: A Practical and Spiritual Guide for Family Caregivers and Dr. Bennett's personal journey as both an occupational therapist and a family caregiver. This workshop will explore how to recognize the emotional and physical weight of caregiving.\n\n\n\nIt will also offer guidance on creating intentional boundaries and accessing tools to help reframe caregiving as a meaningful\, manageable part of life. At the same time\, we will honor the reality that caregiving is often hard acknowledging the difficult feelings that can come with it. By naming and validating these challenges\, we open space for growth\, self-compassion\, and practical strategies to navigate both work and caregiving with clarity and strength.\n\nMeet Your Presenter\n\n\n\nClaudia Cassidy Bennett\, Ph.D.\, OT\, has been an occupational therapist for more than forty years. She holds specialty certifications in Neuro-developmental Treatment\, Sensory Integration\, and Praxis Testing. She founded Children's Developmental Therapy in Ann Arbor\, Michigan\, and taught in the occupational therapy program at Eastern Michigan University.\n\n\n\nShe earned her doctorate from Michigan State University. Dr Bennett is the author of Caregiving Reimagined: A Practical and Spiritual Guide for Family Caregivers. For more than a decade\, she balanced full-time work with caring for her mother\, who suffered with Alzheimer's. Dr. Bennett is passionate about helping caregivers find resilience\, purpose\, and grace through every stage of the caregiving journey.
