SUMMARY:A2Y Regional Chamber Event: IMPACT 2013
DESCRIPTION:Sponsorship Opportunities for IMPACT 2013\n\n\n\n\n	\n \n \n The A2Y Chamber brings you an interactive discussion on our community's successes\, shortcomings and opportunities to attract and retain young talent in the business\, civic and philanthropic arenas. Impact will start a conversation on how we remain a place where bright young professionals will come and stay\, powering our economy by finding paths to leadership within business\, and forming lasting connections to our community through philanthropic and civic engagement.\n\n \n\n To open our program and give us the broader context influencing our local conditions we will have a presentation from Lou Glazer of Michigan Future\, Inc. Mr. Glazer is well known for his in-depth work at Michigan Future\, Inc. and he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Impact. His presentation will focus on the broad trends and opportunities which are critical to our future success. \n\n \n\n The main focus of Impact will deal with our local community. We will hear directly from two panels made up of young professionals. They will talk about what's working\, what's not and what we need to do to keep them here. The moderators for our panels will be Cheryl Elliott\, President & CEO of the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation\, and Rich Sheridan\, CEO of Menlo Innovations. Well known and widely respected\, Cheryl and Rich will facilitate their respective discussions so that we can hear from panelists directly about their experiences and why they came\, stayed\, or moved on. This personal experience and direct information will be critical in helping us hone our efforts to keep our community a destination for young talent and allow us to understand what we need to improve. \n\n \n\n Wrapping up our morning with a Headline Lunch will be Jacqui Mieksztyn\, Manager\, Talent Programs\, Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC). Jacqui will give an overview of MEDC's new strategy aimed at attracting and retaining talented young people here in Michigan\, including a real-time look at MEDC's on-campus initiatives. Those of you who can only make our luncheon portion of the program will enjoy this state-level presentation. \n\n \n\n We need your opinions on these important topics\, so the audience will have many chances to share their thoughts and ask questions. Impact 2013 is all about our community's future. Come and join the conversation. \n\n \n\n Light Breakfast\, Refreshments and Lunch Included.
