DESCRIPTION:One of the most popular events on the Chamber's calendar\, the Annual Chamber Golf Outing presented by Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan attracts a wide range of decision makers\, community leaders and entrepreneurs from a variety of businesses while providing an opportunity to play 18 holes of extraordinary golf at Travis Pointe Country Club. \n\nTravis Pointe Country Club - Our Course Will Test Every Club In Your Bag\n\nBuilt in 1977 by Michigan golf architect\, Bill Newcomb\, Travis Pointe is one of the finest golf courses in the state. With six sets of tees\, the course is suitable for golfers of all skill levels\, with the course being able to play anywhere from 5\,264 yards to a difficult 7\,326 yards.\n\nTravis Pointe is the proud host of LPGA Volvik Championship\, as well as numerous tournaments throughout the years\, including the PGA Northern Club Professional Championship\, the Michigan Amateur Championship\, the Women's Western Amateur\, the Women's Michigan Open and numerous US Open and US Senior Open qualifiers.\n\nScramble Format:\n\nEach player in the group tees off and the best shot is chosen.  The remaining players pick up their ball and play from the selected shot.  This is repeated until the ball is holed.  Players may move their ball one club length no closer to the hole while remaining in the same condition.  Players may move their ball one putter head length no closer to the hole on the green.  Generally\, ties are broken using a scorecard playoff with the lowest score on the most difficult holes being the tiebreaker.\n\nDress Code:\n\nIt is expected that all golfers will dress in a ladylike and gentlemanly fashion. The following dress code applies to members\, guests and children: 1) Men: Trousers or shorts (shorts no more than 4 inches above the knee) are acceptable. Shirts must be a traditional golf shirt with collars and sleeves or mock turtle necks with collars of at least 1".  2) Women: Slacks\, skirts\, or shorts (shorts no more than 4 inches above the knee) are acceptable.
