WEMU 89.1 sponsors Pursuit of the Podium
The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra is pleased to announce WEMU 89.1 as the sponsor for its brand-new fundraiser, Pursuit of the Podium: The Search for Ann Arbor’s Next Celebrity Conductor.
The winner of Pursuit of the Podium will lead the orchestra in a short piece to open the Ann Arbor Symphony’s season finale performance of Carmina Burana. Nominations are now being accepted and will continue until October 26th at 5PM.
Beginning at the A2SO’s Rigoletto concert on November 12th, voting will be open for the top 20 nominees. At each concert following, your votes will narrow the contestants down from 20 to 10, then to 5, and finally, just 1.
The winner will be announced at the season finale of Carmina Burana before their big debut as Ann Arbor’s Next Celebrity Conductor.
The podium is in place; the winner is determined by YOU.
