Ann Arbor, MI, January 26, 2012 –The City of Ann Arbor, Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authority and Village Green after four years of development will begin construction on the first market rent luxury apartment community in downtown Ann Arbor in over 25 years. The apartment will achieve the National Green Building Standard established by the National Association of Home Builders and 95 out of 100 points on the Google Map Walkability Index. Ann Arbor is home to the University of Michigan and its Medical Center, a leader in health care and bio-medical research, as well as automotive engineering, high-tech industries and Domino’s Pizza World Headquarters.
Village Green’s first apartment community in Ann Arbor was built in the early 1970’s. Ann Arbor City Apartments represents Village Green’s third apartment community in the City of Ann Arbor in addition to three other apartment communities Village Green manages for other ownership groups.
