Washtenaw Economic Club Luncheon
The September Lecture and Luncheon event, Advanced Manufacturing – Key to our National and Economic Security, will feature Emily Stover DeRocco, Education and Workforce Director for Lightweight Innovations for Tomorrow (LIFT). In her presentation, DeRocco will discuss how technology, innovation and talent development are key to our nation’s ability to sustain and grow manufacturing and retain global leadership.
Speaker: Emily Stover DeRocco serves as the Education and Workforce Director for Lightweight Innovations for Tomorrow (LIFT), is Founder and CEO of E3, a Washington, D.C.-based consulting practice focused on linking education, workforce and economic development assets for competitive advantage, and the immediate past president of The Manufacturing Institute. DeRocco was nominated by President Bush and confirmed by the U.S. Senate as the Assistant Secretary of Labor in 2001.
