Washtenaw Economic Club - Leading the Way in Economic Recovery
The Washtenaw Economic Club presents its next event in their 2016 Lecture and Luncheon Series
Leading the Way in Economic Recovery
Keynote Speaker: John W. Barfield, Entrepreneur and Founder, The Bartech Group
"You can't talk about the economic recovery in Washtenaw County without also talking about entrepreneurship." -- Dr. Kimberly Hurns, Dean, Business and Computer Technologies, Washtenaw Community College
A child during the Great Depression, Mr. Barfield has seen numerous economic highs and lows. And through it all, he launched 11 companies, from engineering and manufacturing parts for General Motors to providing workforce management and staffing solutions - in all, a $3 billion operation. Mr. Barfield will join representatives from the software, retail and manufacturing industries for a panel disucssion of the economic recovery and entrepreneurship in Washtenaw County moderated by Paul Krutko, President and CEO, SPARK Ann Arbor.
Networking begins at 11:30 am and the luncheon is from noon until 1:30pm.
We will have representatives from The Entrepreneurship Center, Small Business Development Center and SPARK Ann Arbor to answer questions about the services they offer to help you start and grow your business.
