A2Y DEI Series Session I: Create Effective & Equitable Engagement for Your Business
Effective Engagement:
A Look at Implicit Bias to Ignite Positive Conversations
Please join us on November 25 for an interactive and engaging session with Esther Triggs, Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at Interlochen Center for the Arts.
Esther, born in Western Michigan, returned after twenty years of working in New York City to settle at Interlochen. She continues to work utilizing the four pillars of DEI: Education, Vulnerability, Transparency and Accountability to move toward Transformation. She welcomes you to delve into an interactive workshop on dismantling implicit bias while having necessary conversations. Through engaging dialogue, reflection, and taking meaningful actions, attendees are empowered with tools to navigate and engage in necessary and sometimes challenging conversations.
Esther is an alumnus of Cornell's Diversity and Inclusion certificate program and a graduate of CUNY SPS' master of arts in Applied Theatre program. Her unique experience in both theatrical and corporate settings allows her to bridge gaps in facilitating conversations which leads to empowerment of individuals and groups toward equitable solutions. She supports organizations in understanding the perceptual, institutional, and psychological processes which impact the bottom line of an organization and how we, in community, interact with each other and create a culturally competent workplace.

Whether you, or your organization, are just getting started on your DEI journey, or even if you have a good comprehension of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, this session is for you and anyone that wants to learn.
