"Amber Brown is Not a Crayon," the beloved best-selling children’s book from Paula Danzinger, is now a live on-stage theatrical romp for the whole family and comes to the Michigan Theater to begin the 20th season of the “Not Just For Kids” series on Sunday, October 17 at 1:30 pm. The 2010-2011 season is sponsored by the Benard L. Maas Foundation and Toyota.

ArtsPower National Touring Theatre Company will deliver this one-time show at the Michigan Theater. Told in a uniquely funny and forthright style, this story of a feisty young girl who refuses to let her problems get the better of her will touch and entertain the audience. Laugh and cry with Amber as she learns some valuable lessons about the virtues of patience and the meaning of friendship. The show is sponsored by Ann Arbor Pediatric Dentistry and Emerson School. As a series presenter, Nicola’s Books will be on-site to offer this book and all related books from the season to attendees.

The Not Just For Kids series runs through May 2011. Standard series subscriptions are still available and can include five or six performances based on customer preference. Premium series subscriptions are also available and include two additional family performances by the Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra.
